Door Restrictors

 

On this page you will find our door restrictor range. We offer both Non-Hold-Open and Hold-Open options with a choice of a nylon moulding mechanism or our arrow-head (Slimline) design.

 

All our restrictors require a channel in the top of the door in order for them to be fitted, with the exception of the heavy duty universal fit restrictor, which can also be face fixed if required.

Bi-Fold Door Restrictor

 

This new restrictor is available in both 335mm and 500mm long and fits in the outer frame roller channel which is 19mm deep. 

 

It is "hold-open" and by moving the restrictor laterally in the channel, many angles of opening and "holding" are achievable (from under 90 degrees up to 130 degrees). 

 

There is a friction adjustment by means of a "Phillips" screw. 
 

All materials used are durable and non-corrosive. 
Restrictors are available in 430 Stainless Steel as standard.

 

Heavy Duty Universal Fit Door Restrictor

 

This new restrictor, which has been thoroughly tested and is now accredited to ISO.EN.14351, can be face fixed or fitted to the top of virtually any door with ease. Composite, UPVC, Aluminium, Steel & Timber doors are all catered for.

 

There is also a buffer spring built in for added peace of mind, to lessen the load on the door hinges should the door be opened aggressively. This restrictor is an ideal solution to brakestay problems with heavier doors. The anchor plate is non-detachable.

Slimline Restrictor: Non-Hold-Open (Tech 200)

 

Designed to operate in air gaps from a minimum of 4mm upwards, the "Slimline Restrictor" is ideal for timber and composite* windows and doors. Due to the in-built flexibility in the operating arm, the restrictor will also operate in a 12mm air gap.

 

The operating arm can easily be disconnected to fully open the window or door if required. The friction can be seamlessly adjusted and the arm can be easily disconnected should it be necessary to open the door or window fully.

 

A damping spring is available for the restrictor which cushions the operating arm and minimises "hinge-whip" when the restrictor reaches the end of travel in the slide. The spring can be fitted retrospectively if required.

Slimline Hold-Open 335mm & 500mm Door Restrictors (Tech 1000)

 

Using our innovative arrow-head mechanism this restrictor is designed to operate in a minimum 4mm air gap, the "Slimline Hold-Open 335mm Restrictor" will hold windows and doors open at up to 90°. Different positioning of the frame/sash parts will give the required hold position. 

 

The 500mm version will hold windows and doors at up to 120°.

 

The friction can be seamlessly adjusted and the arm can be easily disconnected should it be necessary to open the door or window fully.

This restrictor can be used on UPVC, timber and composite* windows and doors.

Hold-Open 335mm Door Restrictor
(Tech 100)

 

Using a nylon moulding mechanism this restrictor is designed to operate in a minimum 12mm air gap, the "Hold-Open 335mm Restrictor" will hold windows and doors open at up to 90°

 

Different positioning of the frame/sash parts will give the required hold position. The friction can be seamlessly adjusted and the arm can be easily disconnected should it be necessary to open the door or window fully.

 

All materials used are durable and non-corrosive. Restrictors are available in 430 Stainless Steel as standard.

 

Hold-Open 500mm Door Restrictor (Tech 500)

 

Also using a nylon moulding mechanism this restrictor is designed to operate in a minimum 12mm air gap, the "Hold-Open 500mm Restrictor" will hold doors open at up to 140°.

 

Different positioning of the frame/sash parts will give the required hold position. The friction can be seamlessly adjusted and the arm can be easily disconnected should it be necessary to open the door or window fully.
